Fall Activities
Come said the leaves to the wind one day,
Come o'er the meadows and we will play.
Put on your dresses Scarlet and Gold
For Summer is gone and the days grow cold

Fall is Here!

Dig out those bulky sweaters, fuzzy blankets, grab a big mug of hot apple cider and take in the fresh autumn air.  Fall is the perfect time of year to get out and be active.  Football games, apple picking or enjoying an apple cider donut (remember...BALANCE) from a local orchard are great ways to enjoy a fall day!  We also love picking out fresh pumpkins to carve and place on the front steps to scare away the ghosts and goblins! Here are just a few local organic orchards you can visit to pick your own apples and pumpkins In New Hampshire:

Alyson's Orchard - Walpole, NH
Wellwood Orchard - Springfield, VT
Poverty Lane Orchard - Lebanon, NH
Kelly Orchard Inc - Acton, NH
Muster Field Farm - N. Sutton, NH
Carter Hill Orchard - Concord, NH
Spring Ledge Farm - New London, NH

If you're looking for something to challenge your brain maybe a corn maze is more your speed!

Bean + Greens Farm in Gilford, NH offers one of New Hampshire's most difficult corn mazes, which contains miles of turns, dead ends and a few bridges.  Their corn maze takes about an hour to navigate during the daytime with scavenger hunts and games.  They also offer a nighttime haunted corn maze for the thrill seekers on the weekends.

Beech Hill Farm in Hopkinton, NH has something for everyone!  They have a wonderful country store that has pasture-raised beef to purchase.  Explore the grounds and you'll find farm animals to pet, and corn mazes.  Each year there is a different theme to the mazes - in 2017 they had Canada's 150 Trivial Pursuit and a Camo's K-9 Challenge.

Warner Fall Foliage Festival is also right around the corner!  From October 5th to 7th come enjoy the rural life and vibrant foliage at the free, family-oriented community festival in the village of Warner, NH.  Three full days of events from concerts, parades, amusement rides, and a farmer's market. Oh, and did we mention it's F-R-E-E!

~ Happy Fall ~
