Doctor of Pharmacy

Nutritional Therapy Practitioner

My Story

Surrounded by sports growing up, I always felt like I had a healthy lifestyle. We ate most

meals at home, and no one in my family had any big health issues. When I was diagnosed

with Lyme Disease my senior year of high school, my mindset shifted. I lost 15 pounds in a

week, suffered from daily migraines, and lacked focus and any type of energy.

I took the course of antibiotics and felt better, but still not like my true self. The revelation

occurred while pursuing a pharmacy degree in college, where I delved into the intricacies

of disease etiology. The allure of preventative medicine, with its emphasis on addressing

root causes, captivated me. It seemed like every disease state we were taught, it was

recommended to start with diet and lifestyle modifications. However, I did not have a clue

what that actually looked like.

When I traveled to NH to see Kristen, she knew within a

matter of minutes that I had suffered from Lyme Disease (without me even telling her!)

From chatting with Kristen, I so badly wanted to do what she did. I felt like the work she

was doing was helping and made so much sense. I knew I needed Kristen’s knowledge to be

able to provide well rounded care to future patients.

Somewhere along the line, I married my high school sweetheart, Tyler and we live with our

two goldens, Lincoln and Hudson in Wilkes County, NC. We live in >100 year old home that

we renovated, and we enjoy CrossFit and the community that we have the privilege to be

part of.

I am now a licensed pharmacist in the state of North Carolina as well as a Nutritional

Therapy Practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association. I envision a world

where we honor Mother Earth and the fruit She bears to feed our families, heal our

illnesses, soothe our souls, and enrich communities. I am thrilled to be a part of this team

and I am excited to blend these two worlds of mine together!
